To settle charges under the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, investigated by the US SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission), Oracle reportedly agreed to pay US$2m fine.
The investigation related to the alleged payments made by Oracle India, to fake vendors and based on forged or fake Invoices. Various Government contracts were related to these payments.
Oracle has since stated that the employees responsible have been dismissed for violating Oracle’s business ethics.
