This is the witching hour for Fridays, those last 25 minutes before you are legally allowed to leave the place of employment and set out on the adventure called weekend.
Frequently I wonder whether employers should not just give staff off an hour early on Friday afternoons and allow us to return to the salt mine an hour later on Monday mornings?
Come on who would not trade an early Friday and a late Monday morning for an additional hour on a Tuesday afternoon and another hour on a Thursday afternoon?
Plus, think about it, the level of productivity is much higher on a Tuesday afternoon than on a Friday before five or on a Monday before ten?
