The Facebook IPO is now expected to receive weaker attention by investors according to a Bloomberg report. This after Facebook released additional information that stated that revenues did not increase inline with user-base growth. Lowered revenue expectations from future growth of mobile users are to be expected as advertising served to mobile users are far less than advertising served to PC users.
Advertising revenue from all mobile content providers similarly are far less than PC based revenue and the growth in mobile adoption requires a revenue rethink, innovation and possibly charging mobile users for content as the various business models are not so sustainable on the long term.
