Indie Royale has developed a new way of selling game bundles. As more people purchase the game bundle, the price goes up fractionally and in real time. If people pay more than the minimum price, the minimum price can go down. Their website is here
This is something that the entertainment media and all content providers can seriously consider. Models where the purchase price DECLINES as more people purchase music, movies, games and other media or media collections online, is an excellent idea. Not only is it fair to the creators of the content but it is also fair to the consumer and there would be no moral justification to pirate any content.
Other models, for example to rely on users contributions after consuming media, is another possibility. Allow people to pay after consuming (or during consumption) of content. Movies like Avatar would still make insane profit margins and consumers would not feel done in or cheated at all.
